Give My Love To Rose Lyrics

Give My Love To Rose
Lyrics

I found him by the railroad track this morning
I could see that he was nearly dead
I knelt down beside him and I listened
Just to hear the words the dying fellow said

He said they let me out of prison down in Frisco
For ten long years I’ve paid for what I’ve done
I was trying to get back to Louisiana
To see My Rose and get to know my son

Give my love to Rose please won’t you mister
Take her all my money, tell her to buy some pretty clothes
Tell my boy daddy’s so proud of him
And don’t forget to give my love to Rose

Tell them I said thanks for waiting for me
Tell my boy to help his mom at home
Tell Rose to try and find another
For it ain’t right that she should live alone

Mister here’s a bag with all my money
It won’t last long the way it goes
God bless you for finding me this morning
And don’t forget to give my love to Rose

Give my love to Rose please won’t you mister
Take her all my money, tell her to buy some pretty clothes
Tell my boy daddy’s so proud of him

And don’t forget to give my love to Rose

Main Idea For The Music Video

Main Idea

The main idea I have for my music video is to use the song ‘Give My Love To Rose’ (1962) By Johnny Cash. The reason why I have chosen this song is because I can visually see a narrative for the song and how it wold work for the song.
What I am aiming for in this music video is to show a narrative that is easy to follow and works with the lyrics. I don’t want to have the actors in the music video to lip sync the words at all as it would bring the audience out from believing the story they are following with the song playing over the top of the video. If I do have speech it would be mimed or spoken and muted in post-production.

The quick version of the idea

The narrative I can envision is that a man (A) finds a dying man (B) on the train tracks he knees down to him and listens to him, and then we see Man (A) carrying Man (B) in his arms to find some where to lay him down to make a grave for him. After this we see Man (A) traveling to find the wife and son of Man (B) to deliver the message and money to them both.
